The People Who Put the "Hope" in the Alliance of Hope

From our tireless staff to our dedicated Board of Directors, from our vigilant forum moderators and stewards to our support group leaders, we are a vast network of hearts and hands working together to serve thousands of suicide loss survivors each year. Remarkably, the majority of these individuals serve as volunteers, giving freely of their time, expertise, and heart.

We are especially grateful to our trained team of forum moderators. Each is a suicide loss survivor who understands the challenges faced by survivors. They have reached a point in their own grief journey where they have integrated devastating loss into their lives. They honor, but are not dominated, by the past. Each moderator volunteers hundreds of hours a year in support of new loss survivors. They bear witness to people’s stories, provide information, and extend hope for going beyond just surviving.

Our community was built as a labor of love by survivors, for survivors. When someone arrives at our virtual door feeling shattered and alone, they find not just resources, but real people who understand their pain without explanation.
